Newcastle United are back in action again on Saturday in an old-fashioned 3pm kick-off as they take on Brentford at the G-Tech Community Stadium.
Eddie Howe admitted in his presser this morning (via The Chronicle) that he had some tired bodies after the excellent 3-3 draw with Liverpool and as such will have to have a long think about his starting eleven going into the Brentford game.
Howe specifically mentioned Anthony Gordon and Alexander Isak who could both be easily replaced if needs be with Harvey Barnes and a fit-again Callum Wilson.
However, we know how much the gaffer likes to stick with things after a good performance and we think that's what he'll do as the players have a full week to recover after this one.
Nick Pope - He could leak 10 goals in a game and would still likely start the next one.
Tino Livramento - Kieran Trippier is still a doubt after picking up an illness ahead of the Liverpool game but we don't see Howe dropping Tino anyway.
Fabian Schar - Goal-scoring heroics aside, there's no reason to contemplate dropping Mr Reliable.
Dan Burn - Another towering performance at centre-back on Wednesday. A vital part of the team again.
Lewis Hall - Hall still has his moments but overall he does seem to improve with every game.
Bruno Guimaraes (c) - We saw things starting to click with him and Sandro Tonali sharing the pitch and the Brazilian grabbed two assists for his efforts.
Sandro Tonali - Seems to have taken the Bruno holding role allowing Bruno to push up and it's working well.
Joelinton - Made amends for his terrible outing against Crystal Palace and repaid Eddie Howe's faith.
Jacob Murphy - Wouldn't be our choice but Eddie Howe was praising him so much after Wednesday that we can't see him being dropped.
Alexander Isak - May be fatigued after Wednesday, but is Callum Wilson ready to start a game? We just see him replacing Isak a bit earlier.
Anthony Gordon - Another one Howe mentioned as being knackered on Wednesday, but Gordon won't want to sit a game out if he doesn't have to.
That leaves Howe with Harvey Barnes, Joe Willock and Callum Wilson on the bench who can change games in a positive manner and Sean Longstaff who could come on to shore things up depending on how the game is going.
Brentford's home form is exceptional this season, but every streak comes to an end eventually.
