It was recently reported that Paris Saint-Germain could be set to offer Randal Kolo Muani a way out after falling out of favour.
Newcastle United have been earmarked as a potential destination for the former Eintracht Frankfurt star after the Magpies were keen to land the striker before his move to the French champions.
Kolo Muani joined PSG for over £74 million in September 2023 and bagged 12 goals in 44 outings for the French giants in his first season at the club, also providing six assists.
This season he has still managed two goals and one assist in 12 appearances, but Luis Enrique has told Kolo Muani he can move on loan to another club in January as he's not in his plans going forward.
A half-season loan could be a good move for Newcastle but Caught Offside are now claiming that Arsenal are also keen on the 25-year-old.
This could be good news for Newcastle in the long run as if Kolo Muani moves to the Emirates and gives a good account of himself for the remainder of this season, Arsenal could move to make the move permanent in the summer.
That would all but end Arsenal's interest in Alexander Isak who has been constantly linked with a move to Mikel Arteta's side.
It's thought that £80 million would be Arsenal's upper limit for a new striker and that Newcastle would want at least £30 million more than that to even entertain the idea of selling Isak, so Kolo Muani may not be the sole reason for putting these Arsenal stories to bed, but it would sure help.
Chelsea are the other club linked to Isak, and they're about as responsible with their money as I am so a £115 million price tag may not put them off so easily.
We still aren't too worried about Isak leaving for another Premier League side, more just frustrated with the constant stories and apparent entitlement that suggests that Isak should be playing for an Arsenal or a Chelsea rather than Newcastle.
