Eddie Howe's Newcastle United host Sean Dyche's Everton at St James' Park this evening - Kick-off is at 7:30pm live on TNT Sport.

After a hard-fought win on Saturday, Newcastle's squad took a battering with no less than three players taken off injured during the battle, plus one shown a red card and therefore suspended for this game.

The three casualties from Saturday, Tino Livramento, Miguel Almiron and of course, Jamaal Lascelles who will be missing for the rest of the year, all miss out tonight as expected.

However, Howe has still managed to put out a strong starting XI, but it's on the bench that the extent of this latest injury crisis really shows.

Anderson made the cut

Sean Longstaff keeps his place ... somehow

We made our lineup prediction yesterday and went with a few changes that we'd like to see rather than going with what we expect Eddie Howe to do.

We were almost right as it turns out, however, we were hoping it would be Sean Longstaff who was sacrificed for Elliot Anderson, but Howe has gone with Joe Willock. Still, a bold move that we weren't really expecting.

Kieran Trippier faced a late fitness test but obviously still isn't ready to be risked after picking up his calf injury.

Lewis Hall gets a start for the Magpies

Lewis Hall gets his chance to shine from the start after two impressive cameos in our last two games, we just hope he can see out a full 90 minutes for a change.

Newcastle are back to having two goalkeepers on the bench to make up the numbers along with four youth players with only really Joe Willock who you could say could have any real impact on the game.

Meanwhile, Everton have gone strong with their lineup but have gone with Beto up front over Dominic Calver-Lewin. Newcastle targets Jarrad Branthwaite and Amadou Onana both start for the Toffees.
