The 3-3 draw played out between Newcastle United and Liverpool on Wednesday night was not without controversy.
Newcastle had a rightful claim to a penalty ignored, the referee and VAR turned a blind eye to a Virgil Van Dijk assault on Anthony Gordon and most egregious of all was the referee blowing the final whistle with Newcastle through on goal with a one-man advantage.
There was another incident that was reported that raised eyebrows, and that was that Arne Slot had reportedly followed referee Andy Madeley into the officials' office at half-time.
It was suggested that Slot was unhappy with one of his players being shown a yellow card - and the implication from Newcastle fans was that he was probably unhappy with the fact that the ref had a good, balanced first-half in the grand scheme of things and this doesn't go along with the Premier League's need to always side with the 'Big Six' teams, although that's a bit more of a fanciful suggestion.
However, as The Times (via The Daily Mail) has now reported, Slot did, in fact, only talk to Madeley in the tunnel at half-time and did not pursue him into his room, which is a much more common occurrence.
As such, Amazon Prime, who screened the game live on Wednesday have apologised to Slot as it was host Dan Walker who had reported that Slot had followed the referee into his dressing room.
The broadcaster admitted that it was a breakdown in communication that led to their mistake and reached out to Liverpool and Arne Slot to apologise.
Fortunately, Eddie Howe avoided commenting on the issue after the game, so he managed to avoid putting his foot in it.
That's one less thing for Newcastle fans to complain about but it doesn't make up for the three horrendous decisions that could have ruined the game.
It was still, even with those errors, one of the most entertaining games of the season, but imagine how amazing it would have been if we'd scored from that last-minute breakaway. Oh what might have been.
