Alright Bruno, want to talk about it, mate? - Second cryptic social media post in as many days from NUFC captain

What's going on in Bruno Guimaraes' head these past couple of days? The Newcastle United captain has gone all 'newly single girl' on social media with posts of motivational quotes clearly aimed at, but not tagging, one particular person.

Earlier today we reported on the post that Bruno Guimaraes put on his Instagram reel on Sunday of the giant tiger and the "Stop watering dead flowers" quote but it seems Bruno wasn't done there.

Today, he's posted a quote, once again to his Instagram reel, this time in English which reads:

"They say you don't know what you have until it's gone.

"Truth is, you knew what you had, you just thought you'd never lose it."

U ok hun?

The Northern Echo have a scorching case of Main Character Syndrome

While we said this morning that the post from yesterday might not even have had anything to do with football, we will say the same with this one.

However, The Northern Echo has gone in the complete opposite direction and decided that today's post was a dig at them for suggesting the club should sell Bruno in order to move forward.

Their reason behind this theory? Bruno's post came up three hours after their article went live. It doesn't explain yesterday's post, though does it?

Wednesday night could be very telling

Bruno Guimaraes is clearly trying to make a point to someone, but as we've said, it may not even be football-related, never mind Newcastle United-related.

Short of sending him a message saying "U ok, hun?" we're unlikely to find out what's actually going on unless he decides to go public with it.

For now, let's all operate under the assumption that it has nothing to do with Newcastle until the man himself comes out and says specifically that it is.

We have a huge game on Wednesday and we hope that whatever is going on doesn't spill over into his performance on the night, and if he has something to get off his chest he does so in an interview on the night.
