Yes, yes, it's time to stop talking about Alexander Isak, he's not a Newcastle United player anymore, it's time to move on and get over it and blah blah blah.

But honestly, are you telling me you Newcastle fans aren't taking some weird pleasure in seeing him falter in his early days at Liverpool after how he went on?

We're not stupid, we know that, like Newcastle's forwards, it's a case of it being a transition and it's only a matter of time before things click for the Sweden star.

Liverpool's style of play is very different to Newcastle's, and Isak needs to adapt or get left behind by Hugo Ekitike, and as much as it pains us to say it, he will adapt and he will prove the doubters wrong. Which is why we should enjoy this moment.

Alexander Isak touched the ball four times in over 30 minutes of playing time

Alexander Isak was given a half-hour runout in the Champions League last night as Liverpool fell to a 1-0 defeat to Galatasaray via a Victor Osimhen penalty in the first half.

In those 30 minutes on the field, Isak touched the ball just four times, prompting one prominent betting site to ask if he's forgotten he's not on strike any more.

The player himself could see what was coming, as when the full-time whistle blew, Isak pulled his shirt up over his face to hide from the embarrassment.

That hissy fit isn't looking like such a good idea now, is it?

Like I say, I don't expect this to last, so you Liverpool fans reading this don't need to keep the receipts here.

The bottom line is, he did this to himself by downing tools and acting like Billy Big Balls to force his move away from Newcastle. If he'd gone about it the right way and kept himself fit, partook in training, played in pre-season, he'd probably be out-scoring Ekitike at Liverpool now, but nope.

For how he carried himself on in the summer, we are entitled to enjoy this rough spell.
