Newcastle United have been well represented in the three main Team of the Week picks that we look at on NUFCFEED.
BBC's selections are now made by Troy Deeney and he selected two Newcastle players, while WhoScored's stats-driven selection found room for one Magpie.
We wondered if Alan Shearer would follow suit and put any Toon players in his team pick and the Newcastle legend did not let us down.
Like Deeney, Shearer also picked two Newcastle players in his Team of the Week for the Premier League, but they weren't the same two.
Shearer opted for Nick Pope as did Troy Deeney after the Newcastle stopper managed to keep a clean sheet despite a constant bombardment by Southampton.
Alan Shearer justified his selection on the Premier League website, although it was obvious if you had seen the game, why Pope was picked.
"Nick Pope (Newcastle)
"Made a few superb saves and commanded his penalty area when Newcastle were under a lot of pressure from Southampton."
Shearer's second Newcastle selection was none other than Joelinton. The Brazilian was outstanding and bagged the goal that sealed the win
"Joelinton (Newcastle)
"Delivered a towering midfield display and scored the winning goal for a Newcastle team down to 10 men."
Eddie Howe's lads should definitely be proud to have been considered in these Team of the Week selections given the nature of Saturday's game.
