Newcastle United and Everton will clash at Goodison Park for the final time in the Premier League on Saturday at 5:30pm live on Sky Sports.

Both teams go into the game off the back of their early season highs with Newcastle holding Manchester City to a 1-1 draw with a superb performance and Everton having bagged their first win of the season.

Newcastle also progressed in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, but that was a much-changed side to the one that Eddie Howe has deployed in the Premier League.

We're expecting a much more familiar-looking starting XI to take the field at Goodison on Saturday.

Alan Shearer has predicted a winner for Saturday's clash

So far we've covered three score predictions, Paul Merson, Jeff Stelling and Chris Sutton and every one of them has gone for a 1-1 draw for Saturday's game.

Alan Shearer has now had his say for Metro, and while for Toon hero shies away from score predictions, he does give his feelings on the result and we have our first non-draw prediction.

“Everton got a huge result last time out at home.

“They showed great character after going 1-0 down and McNeil got a couple of goals, but I thought Newcastle produced their best performance of the season against Man City.

“They looked much more like they have done over the last couple of years, and I’d be looking for them to carry that on here. I’m going to go for an away win.”

We're siding with Alan Shearer on this one

Shearer seems to be the first pundit to have any faith that Newcastle can come close to the performance levels they showed against the champions last weekend.

We also don't like to predict the score, but we'll have a bash with the result and we'll side with Shearer on this one.

There's no excuse to not build on that fantastic performance against City, and if we play like that against Everton we could absolutely destroy them.
