Some crossovers caught everyone off guard like DC and Looney Tunes, New Girl and Brooklyn Nine-Nine and now the England National Team and The Great British Bake Off.
To be fair, GBBO already pulled off a mad one when they brought in weirdo comedian Noel Fielding to host, but that has worked better than anyone expected, so why not bring in a few of the England boys to knock up a cake or two?
Newcastle United's £12million bargain signing, Kieran Trippier is one of the players who has been summoned to the tent for a bit of Bake Off action.
In a post on X, the Great British Bake Off has teased an upcoming crossover which will also see Tripps joined by Trent Alexander-Arnold, Declan Rice and Jordan Henderson.
"On your marks, get set... bake?! @Trippier2, @_DeclanRice, @JHenderson and @TrentAA popped into the Tent to tackle a new opponent – Paul Hollywood!
"GBBO x England, coming soon. #GBBO #ThreeLions"
Soon we'll be able to see if Kieran Trippier, whose deadballs are his bread and butter (sorry), can switch his hot crosses for hot cross buns. (No, you shut up.)
The bit will already have been filmed, so the good news is we can be confident that Tripps hasn't picked up some weird baking-related injury like a third-degree burn or some mandolin injury - trust me, those things are evil.
The post is a bit vague and doesn't tell us when we can see the results of the experiment, but we can assume that it will be part of Channel 4's coverage of England vs Malta (some joke about Malt loaf) this evening which starts at 7pm.
