£12m man to play out of position - Our predicted lineup as Newcastle face Chelsea on Saturday

Newcastle United v Chelsea - St James' Park - Saturday 25th November - Kick-off: 15:00

Everybody rejoice. The Premier League is back, the weekends have meaning again.

Newcastle are in action at St James' Park on Saturday in one of those old-timey 3pm kick-offs which means the game will not be shown on live TV in the UK.

Eddie Howe is hoping to have a couple of players back from injury as the injury crisis continues, and even threatened to get worse during the break with Fabian Schar missing a game for Switzerland and Miguel Almiron pulling out of the Paraguay squad. Thankfully both are deemed fit to take part tomorrow, but a question mark remains over Alexander Isak.

Here's how we think we will lineup to face Chelsea.

Goalkeeper

Nick Pope - Safe hands, dodgy feet. If he's fit, he starts.

Defence

Kieran Trippier - Mini Skipper will take up the left-back role in Dan Burn and Matt Targett's absence. Lewis Hall can't face his parent club. The £12million man can do it for England so we'll take advantage of his versatility.

Tino Livramento - The student replaces the master at right-back with Tripps covering at LB.

Jamaal Lascelles - Big Skipper keeps his spot as Sven Botman's absence continues.

Fabian Schar - Was feeling it a bit on international duty but a rest did him good and the handsome bugger is fit to pick up a head injury again.

Midfield

Joe Willock - It's so good to have this man back in first-team action. We have missed his energy.

Joelinton - Sent off for Brazil after just nine minutes on the pitch in midweek, J7 should be fresh as a daisy.

Bruno Guimaraes - Sat out the last PL game through suspension, and after losing his rag again midweek we're hoping he's done some meditation this week or had some kinder eggs to chill him out.

Forwards

Miguel Almiron - Picked up a knock against Bournemouth that kept him out of international duty but is back with a smile and ready to rock.

Anthony Gordon - Arguably our best player right now. Thank the football gods that he's fit.

Alexander Isak - We're risking it, and we think Eddie Howe will too. We feel he's been downplaying his fitness for the media and Isak is going to batter Chelsea. Sorry, not feel - hope.

In all honesty, we're not convinced by Isak and we hope that playing him tomorrow isn't too soon, but we don't really have another good option.

If that team is the one that faces Chelsea then we feel they're more than capable of getting a result against the Blues, especially at home. It really all just comes down to fitness. Thankfully, Chelsea are struggling in that department too.
