Newcastle United have recently tied up new contracts for Dan Burn and Anthony Gordon following on from getting Bruno Guimaraes to commit his future to the club.
Anthony Gordon became the latest high profile player to commit to Newcastle United by signing a long-term deal with the club as announced on Tuesday.
Talks had been ongoing for a while and it was always a case of when and not if Gordon would sign a new deal.
As part of what iNews has described as a 'happy camp' strategy, Newcastle have now turned their attention to £100m-rated Alexander Isak to offer the Sweden star improved terms to stick around.
There has been talk that Isak could try to move away from Newcastle if the club fail to qualify for Europe again this season with Arsenal and Chelsea ready to fight it out for the 25-year-old.
However, iNews reports that Isak is keen to negotiate an extension to his current deal which expires in 2028 and is happy to remain on Tyneside.
The club are reportedly very aware that it will likely take a significant bump in terms to get the deal done, but they also feel that his performances have earned him improved terms too.
It will come as a huge relief to hear some positivity around Isak with the last couple of days focusing on a potential exit.
Hopefully, as with Anthony Gordon, him agreeing a new contract will shut down any talk of a move elsewhere.
However, having said that, the rumours around Bruno Guimaraes leaving didn't stop after he signed his new contract thanks to the £100m release clause which has long-since elapsed. There's a high likelihood that Isak's new contract will contain a similar clause, so that's something we've got to look forward to.
