Gareth Southgate's England squad will be returning to England empty-handed while Newcastle United's squad cross them going the other way as they head to Adidas' World of Sports HQ for a summer training camp.

Newcastle United are set to take full advantage of its new partnership with Adidas by using their state-of-the-art facilities in Herzogenaurach, Germany.

The Magpies will spend a week at the facility which is often used by Arsenal in their pre-season preparations.

Newcastle's official X account posted a few images of the lads boarding their flight this morning giving us a look at a few of the players heading to Bavaria.

Eddie Howe is giving chances to a couple of forgotten players

Lewis Miley's big brother Jamie can be seen in the background of one of the images with Lewis out injured, Eddie Howe looks set to give the other Miley a look.

Also spotted is what looks to be Jamal Lewis who was pictured training with the first team last week, although we're going purely off the back of a head in the background of a shot of Harvey Barnes and Garang Kuol.

The fact that Garang Kuol is on the flight is also worth noting after two horrendous loan spells. The Australian wonderkid has so far failed to live up to that title, but it's great to see Eddie Howe giving him a chance.

There is still no sign of a friendly fixture this week

Some fans are concerned that there's still no sign of Alexander Isak who wasn't involved in any international competition and wasn't spotted in any of last week's training galleries.

While Kieran Trippier and Anthony Gordon are likely still in Germany after the Euro 2024 final last night, the duo will be given time off before they are to return to club training and will likely head home with the England squad rather than linking up with the lads.

There has still been no confirmation of a friendly game this week despite suggestions that there would be one as part of the week-long camp with our office deciding that Leeds United would be our victims. Our first friendly is still scheduled as Hull City at the MKM Stadium on 27th July.
