Journalist now says Newcastle United could offload 'excellent' winger this summer - It's a 50/50 call right now

That being said, though, there's still scope for some players to leave beyond those whose contracts are ticking down, and one player the club could cash in on is former Leicester City winger, Harvey Barnes.

The £39 million signing has scored some vital goals in big games, but despite that, hasn't really made the kind of impression Eddie Howe had hoped and can't seem to force his way into the side ahead of Anthony Gordon.

Barnes has been dubbed a super-sub for his ability to come off the bench and grab important goals, but obviously the 27-year-old won't be content with being a bit-player when he knows he's better than that.

Lauded as an 'excellent' player by Martin O'Neil, Barnes was hotly pursued by Eddie Howe. While the media and fans all thought we were scouting James Maddison at Leicester, it turned out to be Barnes all along.

However, as Craig Hope said in his latest YouTube video, it's now 50/50 whether or not he'll be here next season.

He, like Callum Wilson, is pretty much playing for his future in the remaining games this season, it seems.
