Brentford have turned the G-Tech Community Stadium into a fortress this season and Newcastle United will be hoping to be the first away side to take three points away when they rock up for a 3pm kick-off on Saturday.
Newcastle will be buzzing after their performance on Wednesday night as they outclassed Liverpool for large parts of the game and if they can take that energy with them to Brentford then they stand a great chance.
Eddie Howe isn't taking anything for granted however and seems very much aware of the challenge that awaits him.
Speaking to the media on Friday morning (h/t The Chronicle), Howe identified two big things that his side will be guarding against on Saturday.
Set-pieces and early goals are two things that have been Brentford's identity this season so far and Howe is very aware of this.
"Well, obviously I think whenever you go away from home, the intention that you set in the game is key. The early exchanges give you a lot of clues to how the game's gonna go.
"We need to start well, as you say, Brentford score a lot of early goals. We're well aware of that.
"They're still a very good set piece team as well. So we're gonna have to be on that."
Newcastle have often started games really strongly, it's just that quite often they've dipped off after 10 minutes or so and rarely have a goal to show for their efforts.
If they can nab an early goal on Saturday, it could completely throw Brentford off their game, and we could build from there.
There is definite potential for this one to be another quality match. We're actually looking forward to it after Wednesday's display/
