Chris Sutton was on co-commentary duty for Sky Sports last night as they broadcast Newcastle United's 5-0 battering of Crystal Palace.
The former Blackburn forward was as dull as ever and went on ridiculous about Nick Pope's penalty decision, you'd think he'd taken a baseball bat to Chris Richard's head the way he was going on.
However, it does seem as though Newcastle won him over as the game went on as he grew more complimentary.
Sutton had predicted a Newcastle win but had banked on it being a close encounter with the Magpies emerging victorious with a 2-1 win.
After the game, Sutton saved his biggest compliment for X, highlighting two Newcastle players as the best in their position in the Premier League.
"Newcastle dismantled Palace. Jacob Murphy and Harvey Barnes the best two wide players in the Premier League right now👏👏"
That's a huge compliment when you realise that Mo Salah is included in that statement, and we know how he walks on water in the eyes of pundits.
It once again means Anthony Gordon is likely going to have to make do with a place on the bench at Villa Park on Saturday.
The England winger must be really ruing that suspension now. There's nothing he could have done about the injury he picked up for England, obviously, but that three-game ban opened the door for Harvey Barnes and the former Leicester City man bolted through it.
Indeed, it's in-form Jacob Murphy who seems to be getting the muddy end of the stick, as it's usually he who has to make way for Anthony Gordon when he's introduced.
It does make sense, though, as we need to protect the man at all costs right now due to his form and the fact that he's our only out-and-out right winger.
