Our fears about pockets of empty seats in the away section at the Amex Stadium a week on Saturday appear to have been unfounded, with the game now a complete sellout according to NUFC Home & Away Tickets on X (Twitter).
There were still 763 tickets available for our trip to Brighton on Saturday the 2nd of September as of 1.59 p.m. this afternoon, but following a drop from 10+ points to 1+ points at 2 p.m. everything sold out within 20 minutes.
This means that Newcastle will be backed by a full away section, even though supporters are battling against national and local train strikes, plus an awkward 5.30 p.m. kick-off time to get behind the lads in our second-longest trip of the campaign.
It's 299 miles as the crow flies from St. James' Park to the Amex, with only the game down at Bournemouth's Vitality Stadium a further distance to travel for fans (302 miles).
This news also means that there will be a ballot for season ticket holders with 10 or fewer points, too, which will run from 2 p.m. tomorrow until 10 a.m. on Sunday morning. Successful applicants will be notified before 5 p.m. on Sunday evening.
