Newcastle United are gearing up to face Fulham on Saturday down at Craven Cottage in a 3pm Saturday kick-off.
After a tough couple of games which saw three players injured against West Ham and then saw Lewis Hall withdrawn against Everton, Newcastle really needed this four-day break to get back on the training ground.
Lewis Hall, who is close to making his loan move from Chelsea into a £28million permanent switch, was dropped into the left-back slot to start against Everton with Dan Burn moved inside to cover for the injured Jamaal Lascelles and Sven Botman.
Newcastle fans have been clamouring to see Lewis Hall given his shot in the first-team all season as Eddie Howe has played it safe with the youngster, leading fans to believe there was some kind of issue behind the scenes.
After two impressive substitute appearances in a row, Hall was given his shot, but with around 10 minutes remaining in the game on Tuesday night, Hall, who had pulled up a couple of times in the game, was withdrawn after starting to struggle.
It was a substitution that proved to be disastrous for Newcastle as Hall's replacement, Paul Dummett went on to foul Ashley Young in the area gifting Everton the penalty that saw the game finish 1-1.
The real concern, however, was if there was something up with Hall or whether it was just fatigue.
Eddie Howe said after the game that he thought it was just fatigue, which would make sense given how little football Hall has played this season.
Now we can be confident that the 19-year-old will be fit enough to play his part against Fulham on Saturday after the club released their latest gallery of training pictures in which Hall can be seen.
Newcastle still have plenty of other injuries to deal with, so it's a relief to see that we actually made it through a game without losing anyone else, but at least we have Anthony Gordon back after suspension.
