Last night we had a little rant about the entitlement of the "Big Six" clubs based in London that they feel they can just take any player they want.

It was hyperbolic, obviously, but it's not without an element of truth.

Imagine, if you will, that you run a football club and you sign a promising young striker for around £32 million expecting him to be the second coming of Alan Shearer but instead he turns out the be the second coming of Emile Heskey.

Would you have the audacity to believe your way out of this self-made predicament would be to try and offload said misfiring striker to a rival Premier League club as part of a swap deal for their star striker with an outstanding minutes-per-goal ratio?

More Isak-Chelsea swap nonsense

Another ludicrous Chelsea swap deal has been mooted for Alexander Isak

Yesterday it was that Chelsea were going to use Newcastle's interest in Noni Madueke to concoct a swap deal involving cash plus Madueke for Alexander Isak.

Tonight, Give Me Sport have suggested a similar story but with Nicolas Jackson as the makeweight.

Why on this dumpster fire of a planet we call Earth would Newcastle ever think of swapping one of the best natural finishers in the Premier League for a striker who seems to think that the way to score is to put the ball on the outside of the posts?

Nope. No. Nah. Not happening

It genuinely doesn't matter how much money they throw in as part of the deal, there's no way Newcastle would take it. We'd be better off just doing a straight-up cash deal.

Although to be fair to Jackson, he would probably be fire if he got away from Chelsea, so it maybe wouldn't be that bad of a deal, but the idea of selling Isak at any price with any structure is just an absolute non-starter.

We saw a post today that said that Chelsea have made 35 signings in the last two years. That's absolutely crazy. As one Newcastle fan pointed out, if you went back 35 signings for Newcastle you'd get to Yoshinori Muto in 2018.

What we do love is that Chelsea are spending all this money (somehow within PSR) and they're just getting progressively worse. Maybe stick with a manager for more than 10 minutes, eh?
