Sport is one of those weird instances where the employees significantly out-earn their bosses with players pulling in ridiculous sums of money each week, and while Managers aren't exactly on minimum wage, they are left quite far behind their 'subordinates'.

Obviously the better a manager performs and the longer they stick around at the club, the more likely they are to see their pay increase, that's just a given.

Manager salaries are rarely mentioned, especially when compared to how much a player's earnings are discussed - and rightly so because the amount of money some of them get paid is frankly disgusting and I am not at all jealous.

TalkSPORT has ranked 17 of the current Premier League manager's salaries after not being able to discover what three of the bosses were currently earning. So we thought we'd take a look and see how Eddie Howe stacks up.

While all the figures are crazy, Pep Guardiola is laughing all the way to the bank

It's likely no shock to anyone that Pep Guardiola leads the way with an impressive annual salary of £20 million (£385k-a-week). Pep is on actual footballers' wages, but he's totally earned it.

Mikel Arteta is next up at £15 million (£288k-a-week), clearly, he's getting paid by the moan.

It's a big drop to third place which is held by Aston Villa's Unai Emery who is on £8 million a year (£154k-a-week). No wonder he turned down Newcastle and went to Villa.

Is Eddie Howe being shafted at Newcastle?

We don't see Eddie Howe's name until we get to 11th spot on the list, well, joint 11th to be precise as he and Fulham's Marco Silva both bring home £4 million a year (£77k-a-week).

Oliver Glasner of Crystal Palace, Thomas Frank at Brentford and Sean Dyche at Everton all earn more than the man who saved Newcastle from relegation and then got that team into the Champions League the next season.

Darren Eales must be hoping and praying that Howe doesn't look at TalkSPORT or NUFCFEED today otherwise he'll be getting a knock at the door demanding to know what the hell is going on,
