As Newcastle United prepare for their enormous Champions League Group F match against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, the night skies above St. James’ Park have been alive with lights as a spectacular Sela drone show rehearses for its grand unveiling.

The buzz on social media has been huge

Social media platforms have been filled with awesome captures of the 500 drones forming Newcastle player jerseys, the iconic "We're back" message under a Newcastle shirt, the dynamic representation of the Sela brand, a magpie soaring in the sky, and more:

The displays are happening tonight (!)

While many fans were expecting this illuminating spectacle to take place during the PSG match on Wednesday, Pete Graves of Sky Sports revealed a twist earlier today.

The mesmerizing drone display will not be on Wednesday due to safety precautions, but TONIGHT. He advised fans not to gather at the stadium as the best views are from a distance. The drone show is scheduled for two slots: 8 p.m. and 9.45 p.m. BST:

This has just been confirmed by the club, too:

This marks Sela's first real activation with NUFC

Sela, Newcastle United's new front-of-shirt sponsor, and a renowned Saudi-based events firm, is the creative force behind the display.

Designed to commemorate the return of Champions League football to St. James’ Park, it's a testament to their dedication to re-establishing Newcastle's prominence in European football.

Moreover, Sela is playing a significant role in shaping the Fan Zone situated at Strawberry Place outside the Gallowgate.
