The Newcastle United fanbase are masters of putting together wild conspiracy theories whether it be over players, or the Premier League's vendetta against the club or whatever.

It's most likely the same in every fanbase to be fair, that any couple of pieces of information can be strung together to create any kind of narrative you like, and the Toon Army have got their claws deep into the latest conspiracy concerning striker Callum Wilson.

Wilson has missed the last two Newcastle games through either illness or a hamstring injury, depending on where you get your information. That is suspicious enough as it is that there are two versions of the story going around.

However, there is also a strong rumour doing the rounds that Wilson has thrown his toys out of the pram and is pushing for a move away from Newcastle this summer.

Has Wilson spat his dummy out at Newcastle?

Is Wilson unhappy with the club or are the club unhappy with Wilson?

There was talk in January that he was trying to force a move away, but now those rumours have resurfaced alongside a different version of the story that suggests the reason Wilson is upset is because the club want to sell him in the summer.

Either way, it looks like his future lies elsewhere if these rumours are to be believed.

Today Callum Wilson was supposed to be involved in a video chat with fans alongside Shola Ameobi but the £20million England man failed to show up with no prior warning, however, the host did make attendees aware that his absence was due to illness.

Even if this is all nonsense Wilson's days at Newcastle look numbered

Wilson seems to be having a hard time shifting this illness, but Alexander Isak was supposedly ill too and his performance against Manchester United was shocking, so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that he genuinely is ill.

Right now these are all just rumours that are leading to wild fan theories, however, we'd not be at all surprised if we've seen the last of Callum Wilson, especially if he doesn't make the squad for Brentford on Sunday.

We've been saying for a while now that it's time for Wilson to move on and it looks like that's exactly what's going to happen this summer ... for one reason or another.
