According to ESPN's Mark Ogden, St. James' Park is being considered as the venue for a friendly match between Saudi Arabia and Mexico during the September international break. Concurrent reports have also surfaced from Saudi Arabia, suggesting that their national team might hold a training camp in Newcastle during the same period.

The match is purported to take place on Thursday, 7th September. If these reports are confirmed, this occasion would mark the first instance of a Saudi Arabian team playing at St. James' Park. It's worth noting that Mexico has previously graced the hallowed turf, drawing 0-0 with South Korea during the 2012 Olympics.

It's important to state that these reports are unverified at this time. They follow on the heels of our big rumour from yesterday about the forthcoming "Sela Cup", which is planned to take place at St. James' Park over the weekend of Saturday, 5th August, and Sunday, 6th August.

The hosting of the match in England would necessitate approval from The English Football Association. We will continue to monitor this story and provide updates as they become available.
