Newcastle United FPL Gameweek 13 Player Guide

Let's take a look at some top prospects from Newcastle United in Gameweek 13. We'll break this article down into three parts; The Safe Picks, Transfer Outs, and Risky Picks.

Gameweek 13 sees Newcastle take on Tottenham away from home. With Newcastle having the best defence in the league still, Howe's team have become a very hard team to break down. A few things to note early on is that Howe showed against Everton that he sticks with a winning team. So with that in mind, let's get into the article.

NUFC Gameweek 13 Safe Picks

Spurs won't be an easy game for Newcastle, however, Trippier is once again going to be a really solid option. Howe has shown faith in a winning team, so we'd suspect that he keeps the majority of the team from the Everton side. Also, Trippier has only had two sub 5-point returns all season, and the last one was in Gameweek 5 against Liverpool.

Bruno Guimarães

Bruno has been class all season, though in recent games Eddie has pushed him back higher up the pitch, allowing him to claim some big points from midfield. GW 10 saw him claim 15 points, while GW 12 saw him net 6 points. There's a minor risk that Bruno is rested early in the game once again, though Howe's press conference gave us no reason to worry that he wouldn't start.

Nick Pope

The last man in the best defence in the league, Pope has become one of the most popular GK's in FPL. With back-to-back 6-pointers, 20% of players have picked up Pope. Though, with his price having risen to 5.3m, he might be out of some people's budgets.

NUFC Gameweek 13 Transfer Out

Callum Wilson

Wilson has been a huge bonus to NUFC since Isak picked up an injury. Sadly, he's had two low scoring weeks in a row, so it might be time to find someone new to lead your line. With just 2.5% of FPL players sticking with Wilson, it shows how cut-throat you need to be with those attacking options.

NUFC Gameweek 13 Risky Pick

Miguel Almirón

Four goals in four for the man of the moment. While Grealish doesn't rate him, we certainly do. As Spurs push their wing-backs high up the pitch, it could create some massive space in behind. However, Miggy has been hit-and-miss on the FPL front because a lot of the good he does goes unrewarded. Though, he picked up double-figures in GW 12 and 9. But, that's why he's a Risky Pick. With Miggy being included in just 9.5% of teams, he could be a powerful attacking option for those looking to change it up.

Joe Willock

Willock is due a return to form of those 20/21 days, and it looks like it might be coming. With Joelinton picking up a knock, Willock will likely start against Spurs, and it might be just the game he needs. Willock has picked up one double-figure point score this season (GW10), which was the last time he played the full 90-minutes.
