Newcastle United have now have two players who have had to withdraw from international duty due to injury.

Callum Wilson was forced, yet again, to miss his return to Bournemouth at the weekend and has since had to pull out of the England squad as it's now believed his injury could keep him out for weeks after he was 50/50 for the weekend.

Also forced to withdraw from international duty is Paraguay winger Miguel Almiron who was forced off against Bournemouth after just 30 minutes on Saturday.

Newcastle's rotten luck continues

It's now believed that Almiron's injury could keep him out for the Chelsea match in just under two weeks.

Newcastle are now suffering their worst injury crisis in 17 years according to The Chronicle.

Ideally, Newcastle could have done with keeping all their internationals here and wrapped in cotton wool.

If only this international break had no internationals in it

Kieran Trippier, as we said the other day, has been poor lately and looks like he could do with a rest, but instead, he's off to represent England and will more than likely play in at least one of the two upcoming games.

Joelinton and Bruno Guimares are also representing Brazil while Fabian Schar, Emil Krafth, Martin Dubravka and Tino Livramento will all be heading off too.

We usually love seeing our players representing their country, but not this time. Not at all.
