Despite erroneous reports that he would not be heading to Atlanta at all, Joelinton has been granted a conditional visa to enter the United States of America and is now flying to meet up with his teammates.

Mirror reporter Simon Bird shared a Tweet with a very grainy image of our Brazilian international midfielder at the airport ahead of his flight:

Joelinton's entry into the USA had been delayed due to issues obtaining a visa, likely due to the 12-month driving ban he was issued back in January after having pleaded guilty to drink-driving. However, he made the trip to London to appeal the decision on Wednesday and is now en route to join his teammates.

Despite missing a few days of training, the Brazilian should be part of the squad that takes on Aston Villa at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Sunday evening/Monday morning, with the game set to kick off at midnight (BST).

Following the game against Villa, NUFC will face Chelsea in Atlanta next Thursday, before rounding off the Premier League's US Summer Series against Brighton next Saturday in New Jersey.

Harvey Barnes is also expected to fly out to join up with the rest of Eddie Howe's squad, with the winger set to be officially announced as a Newcastle United player sometime later on today.
