Jamaal Lascelles to remain club Captain

Eddie Howe has confirmed that the long-standing skipper will remain club Captain for the forthcoming season.

"If he doesn't play for whatever reason, injuries or whatever, I will pick somebody else. But it's not the time to talk about it."
"Jamaal is definitely staying. He is a big part of what we are doing."

  • Rafa Benitez made Lascelles his Captain ahead of the 2016/17 promotion campaign
  • He has represented the club as skipper 193 times, scoring 11 times during that spell
