Newcastle United will face Manchester United at Old Trafford in the fourth round of this season's Carabao Cup in a repeat of the 2022/23 final.

Don Goodman and Neil Lennon conducted the draw live on Sky at St. James' Park following the Magpies' superb 1-0 victory over treble winners Manchester City on Wednesday evening.

The cup tie will take place between our visit to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday 24th October and the home game with Arsenal on Saturday 4th November.

Given both of those Premier League matches will be broadcast by Sky and are therefore pretty much set in stone, the Man Utd game will kick off on either Tuesday 31st October, or Wednesday 1st November.

Here's how the full draw shook out:

  • Mansfield Town vs. Port Vale
  • Ipswich Town vs. Fulham
  • Manchester United vs. Newcastle United
  • Bournemouth vs. Liverpool
  • Chelsea vs. Blackburn Rovers
  • West Ham United vs. Arsenal
  • Everton vs. Burnley
  • Exeter City vs. Middlesbrough

And here were all of the ball numbers:

  1. Burnley
  2. Exeter City
  3. Ipswich Town
  4. Manchester United
  5. Mansfield Town
  6. Middlesbrough
  7. Port Vale
  8. Bournemouth
  9. Everton
  10. Blackburn Rovers
  11. Arsenal
  12. Chelsea
  13. Fulham
  14. Liverpool
  15. West Ham United
  16. Newcastle United

If we are to somehow win this competition, we certainly won't be doing it the easy way!
