Game week 1: Schär and Wilson seal first win of the season for Newcastle United

A dominant first half for Newcastle saw them head into the break 0-0. The deadlock was broken shortly into the second half, however, as Schär's stunning long-range strike rattled home.

The lead was doubled 15-minutes later as a cheeky touch from Wilson increased the lead. Forest never really looked like causing Newcastle trouble, with Pope having very little to do. The win certainly showed fans what Howe is doing with the team. Hope still remains, however, for more attacking additions.
