Newcastle United fans got some good news today via Instagram.

For the past few games, Newcastle have had to field a makeshift defence as star centre-back Sven Botman had been sidelined with an injury.

Eddie Howe reinstated Jamaal Lascelles to the starting line-up alongside Fabian Schar while keeping Dan Burn in the left-back role. Burn signed for Newcastle as a left-sided centre-back, same as Sven Botman, so many fans expected he'd be brought back into that position and it would be Matt Targett or Lewis Hall who were brought into the starting XI.

That wasn't the case, however and Howe turned to his club captain to come into the fold, and to be fair to Howe and Lascelles, it has worked pretty well and Newcastle's form continued with wins over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, Manchester City in the Carabao Cup as well as a Premier League win and a draw against Burnley and West Ham respectively, all with the new-look defence.

Now though, Sven Botman has shared a reel on his Instagram suggesting that he's coming back with the caption saying:

"Coming back stronger than ever."

Regardless of how well Jamaal Lascelles and Fabian Schar have done, it's a comfort to know that the Rolls Royce Sven Botman will be back in contention for a place in the starting XI soon, especially with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United and Arsenal on the horizon.
