It's been rumoured for months, but Newcastle United's 2023/24 third kit IS navy and yellow and it will be officially released tomorrow morning (Friday, 21st July) at 9 a.m.

The club confirmed as much in a Tweet put out at 11 a.m. this morning, which you can see here:

You'll be able to get it from NUFC's online shop at this link and Castore's online shop at this link. It will also be available in-store at both, too, of course.

The above Tweet is also confirmation of what had already been established, in that the "third" shirt Shields Gazette reporter Dominic Scurr had Tweeted an apparent image of a couple of weeks ago was actually a matchday training shirt:

You can see that this shirt doesn't have a pattern that extends all the way up to the chest, whereas the image shared by NUFC shows the club crest over the top of the pattern (and the top of the "l" on "Sela").

The shirt appears to be another "tonal patterned" affair, not too dissimilar to the Saudi-inspired green away effort, with two shades of blue and a very vivid yellow for the accent colour.

It doesn't appear to be hugely different to last year's away shirt, all-in-all, so let's hope we remain unbeaten in this one as well!

When wearing the blue in 2022/23 we won at Tranmere Rovers in the League Cup, beat Fulham and Spurs in the league, beat Southampton in both the league and League Cup, won at Nottingham Forest and Brentford in the league, and drew with Leeds in the league.
